Nabhdrishti Aerospace, a deep-tech startup, has secured Rs 3 crore in its pre-seed round, spearheaded by IIMA Ventures (formerly IIMA-CIIE). The funding marks a significant milestone for the company, which aims to revolutionize clean energy solutions in the aerospace sector.

The company plans to allocate the raised capital towards developing a fuel flex combustor prototype, focusing on rigorous fuel injector and combustor testing. This endeavour will showcase Nabhdrishti Aerospace’s proprietary fuel flex technology, paving the way for future designs within the power range of 300 SHP to 1,000 SHP and beyond.

Established in 2023 by Rohit Chouhan and Arjun Srivatsa, Nabhdrishti Aerospace specializes in designing and developing gas turbine engines. Their initial focus is on creating a 350 SHP turboprop engine tailored for aviation and power generation applications.

According to the company, their micro gas turbine (MGT) engines will feature fuel flexibility, ensuring compatibility with clean fuels while enhancing efficiency. The first product, ND 350, is set to be a 275 KW Turbogenerator. When coupled with a propeller, it can generate 350 SHP, powering UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and hybrid electric VTOLs (vertical take-off and landing).

This funding round comes amidst a growing interest in aerospace startups. Recently, Bengaluru-based aerospace components manufacturer JJG Aero secured $12 million from CX Partners. In January, Jeh Aerospace raised $2.75 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst.

Nabhdrishti Aerospace’s latest funding injection underscores investor confidence in the company’s vision and highlights the increasing importance of sustainable solutions in the aerospace industry. With continued support and innovation, the company is poised to make significant strides towards a greener, more efficient future in aviation and beyond.
