Amazon Web Services (AWS) Chooses Seven Indian Startups for Its Global Accelerator Program

0

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has selected seven Indian startups specializing in generative AI for its global accelerator program. These startups—Convrse, House of Models, Neural Garage, Orbo.ai, Phot.ai, Unscript AI, and Zocket—are part of the 80 companies chosen worldwide to participate in this initiative.

AWS will provide these startups with up to $1 million in AWS credits, which can be used to develop, train, test, and deploy their generative AI solutions. These credits are applicable to services like Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, facilitating the development and deployment of AI applications. In addition, the startups will gain access to AWS’s suite of machine learning and AI technologies, including AWS compute, storage, database technologies, and AI chips like AWS Trainium.

Earlier in June, AWS announced a $230 million fund to support the acceleration of generative AI-driven applications globally. This initiative aims to help startups develop, build, and scale innovative ideas using generative AI.

Overview of the Selected Startups:

  1. Convrse: Founded in 2021 by Anshul Padyal, Vishesh Khatri, and Vikrant Singh, Convrse is an AI-based tool that optimizes complex 3D objects or scenes, making them ready for web or real-time use. It serves companies across the gaming, architecture, manufacturing, healthcare, and simulation sectors.
  2. House of Models: This Bengaluru-based startup uses large language models (LLMs) and diffuser models to generate digital content such as images, videos, and product descriptions for brands and businesses.
  3. Neural Garage: Co-founded in 2021 by Mandar Natekar, Subhabrata Debnath, Anjan Banerjee, and Subhashish Saha, Neural Garage is a deep technology company that utilizes AI to streamline content creation by enabling lip-syncing in videos.
  4. Orbo.ai: Established in 2019 by Manoj Shinde, Danish Jamil, and Abhit Sinha, Orbo leverages generative AI to offer hyper-personalization and contextual search solutions for the beauty and personal care industry. The startup provides insights into facial attributes, skin tone, and abnormalities to produce customized results.
  5. Phot.ai: Led by Akshit Raja and Venus Dhuria, Phot.ai is an AI-powered platform that streamlines photo editing and graphic design. It offers tools that help e-commerce sellers optimize their workflows efficiently.
  6. Unscript AI: Founded by Ritwika Chowdhury in 2021, Unscript AI is a SaaS marketing tool that uses generative AI to create studio-quality videos with real or virtual actors. The platform aims to empower companies to create more personalized and impactful customer experiences without the high cost or time investment of traditional video production.
  7. Zocket: Co-founded in 2021 by Karthik Venkateswaran, Mukund Srivathsan, Nandha Kumar Ravi, and Sundar Natesan, Zocket simplifies digital advertising by using generative AI for ad creation, targeting, and analytics. It helps businesses of all sizes to manage and optimize their advertising campaigns effectively.

AWS’s support for these startups is part of a broader push to enhance the development and application of generative AI technologies, enabling businesses to innovate and scale their operations. This selection underscores the growing importance and potential of Indian startups in the global AI landscape.
