KiranaPro, a quick commerce platform, has onboarded Indian badminton star PV Sindhu as both an investor and brand ambassador. While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, the company has confirmed that Sindhu’s investment marks the first commitment in its seed funding round.
Beyond endorsing the brand, Sindhu will play an active role in advancing KiranaPro’s mission of bridging the digital gap for small retailers. Her association will extend to the IPL 2025, where she will represent KiranaPro as its official ambassador, significantly boosting its national visibility.
Founded by Deepak Ravindran and Dipankar Sarkar, KiranaPro aims to empower local Kirana stores and supermarkets through technology-driven solutions. With 10-minute deliveries and flexible revenue models, the platform ensures that small retailers remain competitive in the evolving retail landscape.
In a strategic move, KiranaPro recently acquired Joper.app, a hyperlocal grocery delivery service that connects small Kirana stores with customers. The acquisition is expected to strengthen KiranaPro’s network and enhance service efficiency.
Following this collaboration, PV Sindhu will feature in multiple digital and traditional media campaigns. Additionally, she will sport the KiranaPro logo on her jersey, reinforcing her commitment to the brand’s growth and visibility in the market.
