Preity Zinta and Shubman Gill Join as Co-Founders of DRIVE FITT Gym Chain to Revolutionize the Indian Fitness Market

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Indian cricketer Shubman Gill have joined as co-founders of DRIVE FITT, a member-based gym facility designed to empower and revolutionize the Indian fitness market.

Blending Cricket and Fitness Training

Launched by Mark Sellar and Deke Smith, DRIVE FITT combines cricket training facilities with high-tech bowling machines, yoga studios, and comprehensive strength, conditioning, and cardio training. The gym chain plans to open its flagship facility later this year, offering a unique blend of fitness and sports training.

Market Potential and Offerings

The Indian fitness market is projected to reach approximately $9.5 billion by 2025, highlighting significant growth opportunities for DRIVE FITT. The gym chain will offer various membership options, including monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual, and family memberships, as well as a daily pass. Membership pricing is set to be competitive, with daily passes around Rs 1,000, monthly memberships starting at Rs 7,000, and yearly memberships up to Rs 35,000. Family memberships will cater to two adults and up to two children.

Leadership and Expertise

DRIVE FITT has appointed Nikhil Kakkar, the former COO of Gold’s Gym, as its COO. With 16 years of experience at Gold’s Gym, Kakkar will lead the company’s operations and franchising efforts. The gym’s offerings will be crafted with input from Shubman Gill and Australian cricketers Chris Lynn and Ryan Harris, ensuring a top-notch fitness experience.

Expansion Plans

The chain will launch its first facility in Gurugram this October, followed by a second location in Noida in November. DRIVE FITT aims to establish 300 franchises across India within the next three years, making fitness accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience.

With Preity Zinta and Shubman Gill at the helm, DRIVE FITT is set to make a significant impact on the Indian fitness landscape, blending celebrity influence with expert training and innovative facilities.
