Pratilipi, a leading digital storytelling platform, has raised $20 million in its Series E funding round, led by Jungle Ventures. The round comprises $12 million in primary investment from two individual investors and $8 million from secondary share sales.
In a media statement, Pratilipi’s co-founder and CEO, Ranjeet Pratap Singh, revealed that Qiming Venture Partners partially exited by selling 75–80% of its shares, while Shunwei Capital made a complete exit.
This funding round marks Pratilipi’s first significant capital raise in nearly four years. However, the company’s valuation has dipped to $100 million, down from $265 million in its previous round.
With the fresh capital, Pratilipi plans to expand its storytelling ecosystem by exploring new formats such as animation and vertical drama shows. Additionally, the company aims to extend its footprint beyond India, venturing into international markets.
Founded in 2014, Pratilipi has built a strong presence in text and audio narratives across Indian languages, including Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, and Malayalam. The platform offers a wide array of content formats, from audiobooks and podcasts to comics, web series, and movies, catering to millions of users.
With this strategic expansion, Pratilipi seeks to redefine digital storytelling and unlock new growth opportunities in both domestic and global markets.
