Date:

In a significant boost to Mumbai’s burgeoning startup scene, Traya, a dynamic manufacturer of hair care products, has secured a substantial investment of INR 75 crore from Xponentia Capital, a prominent private equity firm based in the city.

Founded in 2019 by the enterprising duo of Altaf Saiyed and Saloni Anand, Traya has quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to tackling hair loss. Offering personalized treatment plans crafted with reliable components endorsed by medical professionals, Traya has garnered a loyal customer base of over 200,000 individuals who have witnessed remarkable results.

“This funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards empowering individuals to reclaim confidence through effective, personalized solutions for hair loss,” remarked Saloni Anand, co-founder of Traya, expressing gratitude for the support from Xponentia Capital.

With this capital infusion, Traya is poised to further its mission of addressing each customer’s unique hair-related needs. The investment validates Traya’s success in merging traditional Ayurveda, modern allopathic methods, and nutritional expertise to combat hair loss effectively.

Xponentia Capital’s decision to invest in Traya underscores the startup’s impressive growth trajectory and profitability. Rahul Bahri, Director at Xponentia Capital, highlighted Traya’s adeptness in understanding and remedying hair loss, aligning seamlessly with the firm’s strategy to back digitally native consumer brands.

This funding round adds to Traya’s previous successes, with notable investors such as Fireside Ventures, Stride Ventures, Kae Capital, and Whiteboard Capital contributing nearly $3 million to the company’s growth.

Traya’s commitment to addressing the underlying causes of hair loss has propelled it to become a frontrunner in the competitive hair care industry. With Xponentia Capital’s and other investors’ support, the company is well-positioned to expand its reach and continue transforming the landscape of hair care solutions.

As Mumbai’s startup ecosystem thrives, Traya is a shining example of innovation and efficacy in addressing prevalent health concerns, paving the way for a future where personalized care is paramount.
