Mukesh Bansal’s Nurix AI Secures $27.5 Million in Funding to Transform the BPO Industry

Date:

Mukesh Bansal’s startup, Nurix AI, has successfully raised $27.5 million in funding, co-led by General Catalyst and Accel, with additional participation from Meraki Labs. This funding is a combination of seed and Series A rounds, with $12.5 million raised during the seed phase and the remainder coming from the Series A investment.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to enhance Nurix’s technological framework and to scale its operations in Asia and North America. The company plans to bolster its research and development capabilities and to cultivate long-term partnerships with AI hardware and product companies, according to a recent press release.

Founded in 2024, Nurix AI aims to provide custom AI-native services that seamlessly integrate within existing enterprise workflows. The startup’s mission is to assist businesses in implementing AI agents in ways that are practical, reliable, and tailored to their operational requirements. By enhancing productivity and profitability, Nurix’s solutions aim to elevate customer experiences for enterprises across the globe.

The startup’s inaugural product is set to revolutionize the $300 billion business process outsourcing (BPO) industry. By merging AI technology with human oversight, Nurix offers a solution that facilitates personalized and scalable customer interactions, ensuring reliability in service delivery.

Mukesh Bansal is a well-known figure in the entrepreneurial landscape, recognized for his track record of leading multiple successful ventures and securing substantial investments. After selling Myntra to Flipkart in 2017, he took on the role of head of commerce and advertising at the Walmart-owned entity. Bansal also co-founded Cult.fit, which achieved unicorn status under Tata Digital.

Following a significant investment of $75 million in Cult.fit by Tata Digital in June 2021, Bansal was appointed as president. In January of the previous year, he stepped back from the daily operations of Tata Digital’s super app, Neu.

In addition to his recent ventures, Bansal co-founded Lyskraft alongside Zomato co-founder Mohit Gupta, with Lyskraft raising $26 million from notable investors, including Peak XV Partners and Prosus.

As Nurix AI sets out to redefine the BPO sector with innovative AI solutions, Bansal’s extensive experience and strategic vision position the startup for significant growth in the evolving landscape of enterprise technology.
