Milind Sharma Rejoins Delhivery as Head of Rapid Commerce and D2C Brands Vertical

Gurugram-based logistics giant Delhivery has appointed Milind Sharma, co-founder of the now-defunct grocery delivery service Peppertap, as the head of its rapid commerce and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands verticals.

Sharma was one of Delhivery’s earliest employees, joining in 2012 before departing in 2013 to launch Peppertap. Now, in his new role, he will be responsible for expanding Delhivery’s rapid commerce service and overseeing its entire product portfolio catering to D2C brands. Additionally, he will focus on scaling up Delhivery’s same-day and next-day delivery services.

Delhivery introduced its rapid commerce service earlier this year, aiming to provide intracity deliveries within a two-to-four-hour window from its network of dark stores.

“Rejoining Delhivery feels like a homecoming for me. This is where I started my startup journey, and I am eager to contribute to the next phase of growth by building the Rapid Commerce service and serving the D2C brand segment,” Sharma said regarding his appointment.

His return to Delhivery comes as the company strengthens its last-mile logistics capabilities to meet the growing demand for faster deliveries in India’s e-commerce and D2C sectors.
