Metadome.ai, formerly known as Adloid, has successfully raised $6.5 million in its latest Series A funding round. This round was led by Siana Capital and existing investor Chiratae Ventures, with additional contributions from new investors Alteria Capital, 3to-1 Capital, and Manish Choksi’s family office.
The Gurugram-based extended reality (XR) startup plans to utilize this funding to broaden its business reach into new regions and enhance its capabilities by integrating advanced XR technologies with cutting-edge AI advancements. With this infusion of capital, Metadome.ai aims to solidify its foothold in the US, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Founded in 2016 by Kanav Singla, Shorya Mahajan, and Kartik Kanaujia, Metadome.ai has established itself as a leader in sales enablement through virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) solutions, particularly in sectors such as home decor, e-commerce, and mobility. The company’s clientele includes prominent names like Hewlett Packard (HP), Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, and Asian Paints.
In December 2021, Metadome.ai had previously secured $4 million in a pre-Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures. Since its inception, the company has experienced significant organic growth, with its customer base more than doubling over the past year.
Recently, Metadome.ai collaborated with Hippo Homes to offer an innovative virtual reality experience at their new store in Greater Noida, allowing customers to explore home improvement solutions in a virtual environment.
The XR industry, encompassing 3D, AR, and VR technologies, has attracted considerable investor interest globally. According to Statista, the sector drew $1.9 billion in investment, underscoring the growing significance of these technologies in enhancing the customer experience throughout the buying and post-sales process.
Metadome.ai’s involvement in NVIDIA’s Inception and Google Startup programs highlights its position in the rapidly evolving XR landscape. The company joins a growing list of emerging XR players in India, including SmartVizX, Liminal, Embright Infotech, Scapic, and GMetri.
