Leading with Vision: Varun Mohan Rises to Chief Commercial Officer at MiQ India

Mumbai, April 23, 2025 – After five years of relentless drive, strategic hustle, and helping MiQ carve out a solid name in India’s digital advertising scene, Varun Mohan is stepping into a bigger role — Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for MiQ India.

Since joining MiQ in 2020 as Head of Growth & Revenue, Varun has been more than just a senior executive — he’s been a key architect of the company’s rise in India. With nearly two decades of experience across Microsoft Advertising, Republic TV, and Appier, Varun brought with him a rare blend of sharp commercial instinct and deep digital know-how. His efforts didn’t go unnoticed: in 2024, Indian StartupTimes named him one of the country’s Top 35 Growth Visionaries.

Now, in his new role as CCO, Varun is ready to take things up a notch.

“This isn’t just a promotion — it’s a moment to reimagine what’s possible for programmatic in India,” Varun shared. “We’re at a turning point. Brands are no longer asking why programmatic. They’re asking how fast can we scale it? And that’s where MiQ truly shines — by bringing together smart technology and local insight to drive real impact.”

As CCO, Varun will lead all commercial operations in India, with a clear focus on three fronts: driving revenuebuilding strategic partnerships, and shaping a future-ready team that can stay ahead in a fast-moving, tech-driven market.

His promotion also reflects a larger vision from MiQ. Co-founder Lee Puri explained, “India is one of the fastest-growing and most exciting programmatic markets in the world right now. And Varun has been at the heart of our growth here. His elevation is not only well-deserved, but it also signals our commitment to long-term leadership in this region. His understanding of MiQ’s tech, the market, and — most importantly — our clients, is second to none.”

One area that Varun and his team are especially excited about? Connected TV (CTV). With more Indian households streaming content than ever before, and platforms like YouTube becoming essential performance channels, Varun sees a massive opportunity.

“We’re entering a golden era for digital advertising in India,” he said. “It’s complex, no doubt — with evolving platforms, new formats, and shifting consumer behavior — but that’s exactly where MiQ thrives. We simplify the complexity, so brands can focus on what matters: connecting with the right audiences, in the right moments.”

Looking ahead, MiQ India under Varun’s leadership is set to deepen its tech investments, strengthen strategic alliances, and, perhaps most importantly, nurture top talent. Because at the end of the day, as Varun puts it, “Technology moves fast — but great teams move faster.”
