Healthify Secures $20M to Expand Global Reach, Targets US Market with AI-Enhanced Health Solutions

Date:

Health and fitness platform Healthify (formerly HealthifyMe) has secured an additional $20 million in funding, marking the latest tranche of its $45 million equity round. This investment was spearheaded by existing backers Khosla Ventures and LeapFrog Investments, with new participation from Claypond Capital, the family office of Dr. Ranjan Pai, a prominent figure in Indian healthcare.

This funding follows Healthify’s June 2023 pre-Series D round, which raised $30 million, including $5 million in venture debt. To date, Healthify has raised a total of $125 million, with its Series C in July 2021 securing $75 million from investors such as Khosla Ventures, LeapFrog Investments, Sistema Asia Fund, and Chiratae Ventures.

The fresh capital will be instrumental in driving Healthify’s international expansion, particularly its entry into the U.S. market. The company plans to further enhance its AI-driven nutrition and fitness coaching technology, which has been a cornerstone of its offerings. The platform leverages AI to customize fitness and nutrition recommendations, adapting to users’ unique health goals, lifestyle habits, and dietary preferences.

Founded by Tushar Vashisht, Sachin Shenoy, and Mathew Cherian, Healthify integrates software, wearable devices, and personalized guidance from fitness trainers to assist users in achieving their health objectives. Since its inception, the platform has served over 40 million users and now operates across 300 cities in India.

Healthify’s international focus includes adapting its AI capabilities for new markets like the U.S., and optimizing its platform for local languages, regional food preferences, and specific cultural considerations. This market-tailored approach will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s ambition to become a global leader in digital health and fitness.

Beyond its consumer-facing app, Healthify has developed a B2B vertical that provides wellness solutions to corporations. This sector of the business partners with companies in diagnostics, insurance, and pharmaceuticals, promoting workplace wellness through customized solutions and expanding Healthify’s reach within the corporate wellness ecosystem.
