Astrome Technologies, a pioneering provider of e-band long-distance communication solutions, has successfully raised $10 million in a funding round led by Appollo Fund, with additional investments from IAN Group. This new capital will drive the company’s ambitious expansion plans, particularly into the satellite communication (satcom) market, while scaling its operations and expanding product offerings.

The funds come after a previous bridge round of $3.4 million in September 2021, signalling growing confidence in Astrome’s innovative technologies. The company is leveraging this funding to enhance its GigaMesh solution, which integrates seamlessly with optical fiber systems, enabling faster and more reliable 5G and 6G connectivity. With cutting-edge features like auto-link alignment and point-to-multipoint connectivity, GigaMesh ensures rapid deployment, cost-efficiency, and superior network performance.

Astrome’s move into the satcom market marks a significant step in realizing the company’s founding vision: to create high-impact solutions that improve connectivity globally. As part of this strategy, Astrome is poised to supply GigaMesh technology to the global market through key partnerships with international OEMs.

The company has already made strides in improving rural connectivity in India, collaborating with the government to deliver broadband services to remote villages.
