Agilitas Sports Secures Exclusive Lotto License for Indian and Other Key Markets.

Date:

Agilitas Sports, a leading sportswear and athleisure solutions platform, has made a significant move in the industry by acquiring the brand license for the renowned Italian sports brand Lotto from its owner, WHP Global.

Under this long-term agreement, Agilitas Sports gains exclusive rights to design, manufacture, promote, and distribute the Lotto brand in India, Australia, and soon, South Africa.

Abhishek Ganguly, co-founder and CEO of Agilitas Sports, emphasized the company’s commitment to revitalizing the Lotto brand through innovative strategies. “Through this 40-year license agreement, we will build and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing, cutting-edge technology, and design innovation for Lotto’s product development, in addition to marketing and retailing of the brand,” said Ganguly.

Agilitas Sports plans to invest in a dedicated management team to drive the growth of the Lotto brand across various aspects, including product creation, design innovation, supply chain management, branding, marketing, and distribution channels.

With a targeted launch date set for early 2025, Agilitas aims to offer a diverse range of products under the Lotto brand, spanning footwear, apparel, accessories, and sports equipment.

The acquisition of Mochiko in September 2023, a sports footwear manufacturer for renowned brands such as Adidas, New Balance, and Reebok, further solidifies Agilitas Sports’ commitment to manufacturing in India. Mochiko’s establishment of a dedicated factory in Noida specifically for manufacturing Lotto products underscores Agilitas’ dedication to quality and local production.

Agilitas Sports, founded by former Puma India managing director Ganguly and his colleagues Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu, has already raised over $60 million across two rounds from a fund managed by Convergent Finance LLP and Nexus Venture Partners.

In a recent development, Agilitas Sports has appointed Richard Zartman as the vice president of footwear design. Zartman, a founding team member, will lead the group’s portfolio of athletic sportswear brands, further strengthening Agilitas’ expertise and capabilities in the industry
