Wendor Secures $2.5 Million to Scale AI-Powered Smart Vending Solutions

Smart vending platform Wendor has successfully raised $2.5 million (approximately Rs 21 crore) in a seed funding round led by Elanpro. The investment comprises both equity (Rs 5 crore) and debt (Rs 16 crore). In addition to financial backing, Wendor will benefit from Elanpro’s operational support, allowing it to leverage an extensive service and logistics network across India.

The newly secured funds will be utilized to enhance Wendor’s AI-powered vending technology, integrate computer vision solutions, and strengthen its market footprint in India and internationally. The company aims to redefine automated retail through cutting-edge technological advancements.

Founded in 2021 by Lakshit Anand, Wendor specializes in AI-driven vending and automated retail solutions. The company’s offerings focus on digital payments, mobile integration, and smart vending technology to modernize the retail experience. Its compact, customizable, and cashless vending machines are equipped with a cloud-based management system, enabling seamless operations and real-time tracking.

Wendor is set to enhance its AI-powered vending technology to improve inventory management, reduce shrinkage, and boost operational efficiency. The company plans to introduce camera-based products and quantity detection systems for real-time tracking. Additionally, its AI-powered demand forecasting technology will help analyze consumer behavior, optimize product offerings, and drive data-driven automation.

As part of its expansion strategy, Wendor will launch ten experience centers in key metro and Tier-1 cities over the next two months. These centers will offer customers hands-on interaction with the brand’s advanced vending solutions, including AI-based product recognition, automated inventory tracking, and refrigeration-integrated vending technology.

Wendor has already built strong partnerships with various organizations, including NAFED, and has deployed vending machines at prestigious government locations such as Rashtrapati Bhawan. The company has also installed vending solutions at tourist landmarks like the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism and Agra Development Authority. Additionally, Wendor works with renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Amul, Nivea, Apollo Hospitals, Unilever, and Fortis.

With this fresh capital infusion, Wendor is well-positioned to drive the future of smart vending in India and beyond, offering innovative and data-driven retail solutions.
