Waste Management Startup WeVOIS Secures ₹36 Crore in Series A Funding to Scale Sustainable Solutions

Date:

Waste management startup WeVOIS has raised ₹36 crore ($4.2 million) in its Series A funding round led by Negen Capital and Vyom Wealth (the Polycab family office), alongside contributions from Venture Catalysts, SN Capital, Warmup Ventures, Marsshot Ventures (Razorpay Founders’ Fund), and other angel investors.

The funding will fuel WeVOIS’s plans to scale operations, expand partnerships, and drive innovation in sustainable waste management across India.

Founded by Abhinav Vashistha, WeVOIS is at the forefront of addressing India’s mounting waste challenges. The company is setting up textile waste recycling facilities and bio-CNG plants to transform wet waste into clean energy. Its proprietary technology integrates Internet of Things (IoT) devices and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven analytics to optimize waste collection, enhance material flows, reduce carbon emissions, and improve recycling efficiency.

India generates approximately 62 million tonnes of waste annually, with only 12 million tonnes undergoing treatment before disposal. This figure is projected to more than double by 2030, highlighting an urgent need for scalable and innovative waste management solutions.

WeVOIS’s efforts align with this pressing demand, aiming to establish a circular economy and reduce waste’s environmental footprint. The fresh capital infusion positions the company to make significant strides in mitigating India’s waste crisis while contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
