Taxi’na Secures Rs 1.5 Crore to Scale Its Zero-Commission Ride-Hailing Model

Mobility solutions start-up Taxi’na has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a new funding round from Navyug Global Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to expand its sustainable ride-hailing model, which prioritizes fairness for both drivers and passengers while fostering micro-entrepreneurship in the sector.

Founded by Pinku Bharathi, Chennai-based Taxi’na is disrupting the traditional ride-hailing ecosystem with its zero-commission approach. Unlike conventional platforms that take a percentage of driver earnings, Taxi’na allows drivers to keep 100% of their fare. Instead of commissions, drivers pay a fixed monthly subscription fee, providing them unlimited access to the platform’s technology and services. This model offers financial stability, eliminating unpredictable deductions and ensuring a transparent earnings structure.

Taxi’na describes its model as a franchise-like opportunity, offering drivers control over their earnings while ensuring fair pricing for passengers. The company claims to be the only ride-hailing platform with an LOI (Letter of Intent) to operate auto services in Chennai.

Currently, Taxi’na has over 45,000 drivers and 75,000 passengers across Chennai, Salem, Tiruppur, Erode, and Coimbatore. With the fresh funding, the company aims to expand further and strengthen its position as a sustainable, driver-first mobility platform.
