Swish Secures $2M to Revolutionize 10-Minute Food Delivery in Bengaluru

Date:

Swish, a promising new player in the fast-food delivery space, has raised $2 million in its maiden funding round led by venture capital firm Accel. The round also saw participation from angel investors, including Urban Company co-founders Abhiraj Bhal and Varun Khaitan, as well as Karthik Gurumurthy, former Swiggy Instamart head.

The funding will fuel Swish’s ambitious plans to expand its operations and optimize its delivery model, starting with Bengaluru and later extending into other tier-I cities. The startup aims to redefine the 10-minute food delivery segment by taking complete control of the end-to-end process—from food preparation to delivery—within a compact 1.5–2 km radius.

A Rapidly Expanding Network

Founded in 2024 by entrepreneurs Shah, Ujjwal Sukheja, and Saran S, Swish currently operates multiple cloud kitchens in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout and Bellandur areas. By the end of November, the company plans to roll out services in Koramangala and Sarjapur, marking its presence in four key Bengaluru regions.

Swish’s app offers around 70 to 80 unique stock-keeping units (SKUs), catering to diverse preferences with categories such as indulgent treats, quick snacks, refreshing beverages, and hearty meals.

Competing in a Challenging Space

The startup enters a competitive market dominated by giants like Swiggy and Zomato. Swiggy’s 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, and Zomato’s rebranded offering, Everyday, reflect the growing demand for hyper-quick food delivery solutions. While Zomato faced hurdles in achieving product-market fit with its earlier Instant model, Swish is determined to carve out its niche by leveraging its compact delivery zones and vertically integrated approach.

A Vision for Growth

With this funding round, Swish is poised to scale rapidly, enhancing its technology, expanding its cloud kitchen network, and perfecting its logistics model. If successful, it could set a new benchmark in hyper-fast food delivery, catering to the evolving needs of urban consumers.

The founders and investors alike are optimistic about the company’s ability to deliver both speed and quality, two critical factors in the competitive quick commerce landscape. As Swish grows, it aims to become a household name synonymous with convenience and culinary satisfaction.
