Delhi-based spiritual-tech platform Bhagva has secured $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round, led by Australian high-net-worth individual Pradeep Nain, along with other angel investors. The fresh capital will fuel the company’s plans to scale its technology and strengthen operations, enhancing the spiritual experience for its expanding user base.
Founded in 2022 by Jagriti Motwani, Bhagva bridges spirituality and technology, offering online and offline puja services, astrology consultations, Panchang updates, and a digital pooja marketplace. Users can book pandits for rituals, access daily horoscopes, and even perform jaap and other ceremonies digitally through the app or website.
With an intuitive interface, Bhagva has positioned itself as a daily spiritual companion accessible to all age groups, promoting traditional practices in a tech-friendly format.
What sets Bhagva apart is its commitment to social empowerment. The company trains women and underrepresented communities in crafting traditional pooja items like agarbattis, solar diyas, and spiritual artifacts, creating livelihood opportunities and promoting cultural entrepreneurship.
“We are focused on making spirituality seamless and inclusive,” said Jagriti Motwani. “This funding round will help us optimize our backend infrastructure and bring spiritual services closer to millions of homes across India and abroad.”
Bhagva competes with platforms such as Astrotalk, AppsForBharat, Vama.app, DevDham, Utsav, InstaAstro, Japam, Temple Connect, and Rgyan in the rapidly growing digital spirituality space. As the demand for online religious services continues to rise, Bhagva is betting on a hybrid model that blends ancient traditions with modern convenience.
With this momentum, the startup aims to deepen its impact—not just by offering spiritual solutions, but also by uplifting communities and keeping India’s cultural heritage alive in the digital age.
