Edtech startup SiglQ.ai has raised $9.5 million in seed funding to fuel its mission of transforming education through AI. The round was co-led by The House Fund and GSV Ventures, with additional participation from Duolingo, General Catalyst India (Venture Highway), Peak XV Partners, Calibrate Ventures, and prominent angel investors including Andy Konwinski (Perplexity co-founder), Christian Storm, Trevor Darrell, Jitendra Malik, Srini Devadas, and Sharad Malik.
Founded in 2023 by Karttikeya Mangalam and Kurt Keutzer, SiglQ.ai develops cutting-edge AI-powered learning tools that offer deeply personalized and scalable education solutions. The fresh funding will be used to accelerate hiring, improve AI capabilities, and scale globally, according to the company.
After 18 months in stealth mode, SiglQ.ai has now launched two flagship platforms: PadhAI and EverTuto
PadhAI, an AI tutor designed to help students crack the UPSC Civil Service Exam, made headlines by reportedly ranking #1 nationwide in the 2024 exam, outperforming over 1.3 million human candidates and AI peers like ChatGPT and Claude. The platform has already attracted over 200,000 UPSC aspirants in India.
On the other hand, EverTutor.ai, focused on GRE preparation, has seen rapid uptake with more than 10,000 users in just three months of its beta release. With growing demand, SiglQ.ai plans to expand EverTutor’s reach in the upcoming spring and fall GRE cycles.
The company will also be showcasing the next wave of innovations in both PadhAI and EverTutor at the upcoming ASU+GSV Summit, signaling its commitment to leading the future of AI-driven education on a global scale.
“At SiglQ.ai, we believe AI has the potential to unlock truly personalized education for everyone, everywhere,” said co-founder Karttikeya Mangalam. “This funding brings us one step closer to making that vision a global reality.”
With an impressive team, cutting-edge products, and strong early traction, SiglQ.ai is well-positioned to become a major player in the evolving landscape of educational technology.
