Artificial intelligence optimization company LLUMO AI has successfully raised $1 million (approximately Rs 8 crore) in a seed funding round led by SenseAI Ventures, with additional backing from India Quotient, AumVC, Venture Catalyst, IIM Indore Alumni Angel Fund, and other angel investors.
LLUMO AI, co-founded in 2023 by Shivam Gupta and Akshat Anand, aims to address the challenges of evaluating large language models (LLMs) in real-world scenarios and mitigating the high costs associated with their usage. The Noida-based startup offers solutions that empower businesses to reduce Generative AI expenses by up to 80% while gaining comprehensive insights into LLM performance.
The funds raised will be utilized to expand LLUMO AI’s presence in the US market and to further develop its enterprise-grade platform that seamlessly integrates with existing AI workflows. LLUMO AI’s proprietary solutions include two compact LLMs, trained on millions of data points, designed to optimize LLM implementations. The first model compresses prompts to cut costs while maintaining output quality, and the second, Eval-LM (Evaluation Language Model), assesses LLM-generated content without needing ground truth data.
These innovations aim to bridge the gap between proof of concept (POC) and production, enabling businesses to efficiently deploy AI solutions, drive innovation, improve customer experiences, and achieve sustainable growth.
