RED Health (formerly StanPlus), a leading medical emergency response platform, has acquired a majority stake in TACT Academy for Clinical Training, marking a significant step toward enhancing emergency medical services and pre-hospital care in India.

Founded in 2007 by N. Ramakrishnan, TACT Academy, now rebranded as RED TACT, specializes in simulation-based clinical training aimed at equipping healthcare professionals with hands-on expertise. This acquisition aligns with RED Health’s mission to establish a 911-like emergency response system in India and create a globally recognized centre of excellence in allied healthcare.

The collaboration leverages RED Health’s expansive network and expertise across more than 30 cities, ensuring a consistent supply of skilled personnel to enhance response times and care quality. RED TACT plans to expand its training footprint to key cities, including Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, and Bengaluru, while introducing innovative educational programs. These include a finishing school for healthcare professionals, bridge courses for MBBS graduates, NABH-accredited training modules, and other skill-based courses.

To further democratize healthcare education, RED Health aims to integrate digital learning platforms, enabling quality training access for both urban and rural communities. Additionally, partnerships with universities are in the pipeline to create academic programs that bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.

“This acquisition is a critical step toward transforming India’s emergency medical services landscape,” said Prabhdeep Singh, founder of RED Health. “By combining TACT’s expertise in clinical training with our operational scale, we aim to set new benchmarks in pre-hospital care and workforce readiness.”

RED Health, founded in 2016, operates a fleet of over 6,000 ambulances equipped for critical and non-critical care. The company collaborates with more than 100 hospitals and 70 enterprises, providing comprehensive medical response systems across the nation. With the acquisition of TACT, RED Health is poised to not only strengthen its emergency response capabilities but also set the stage for a new era of healthcare innovation and training excellence in India.
