Farm-to-face luxury skincare and personal care brand RAS has successfully raised $5 million in its Series A funding round, led by Unilever Ventures, the investment arm of the global consumer goods giant. The round also saw participation from Amazon SMBhav Venture Fund, bolstering RAS’ growth trajectory.

This follows the brand’s earlier fundraising efforts, including a $1.5 million pre-Series A round in April 2023, led by Green Frontier Capital, a New York-based venture firm focused on climate change and sustainability.

The newly raised funds will enable RAS to significantly expand its retail footprint, with a strong emphasis on exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and shop-in-shop retail spaces. Other areas of investment include enhancing its research and development (R&D) capabilities for new product lines, expanding branding and marketing efforts, talent acquisition, and advancing technological enhancements.

The brand’s existing investors, including Sixth Sense Ventures and notable angel investors like Keki Mistry’s family, have also participated in this round, reinforcing confidence in RAS’ growth potential.

Founded by Shubhika Jain, Sangeeta Jain, and Suramya Jain, RAS is renowned for its luxury beauty and skincare products that blend natural ingredients with scientifically potent formulations. The products are manufactured at RAS’ proprietary vertically integrated research facility and farms located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, ensuring a sustainable and traceable supply chain.

Currently, RAS operates two exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and plans to scale to 50 more across India over the next three years. With the funding, the brand is targeting significant growth in offline retail, expecting this segment to contribute 25% of its revenue over the next four years. Additionally, the company is poised for growth in the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) segment as part of its broader expansion strategy.

The fresh capital injection positions RAS to accelerate its presence in the luxury skincare market, combining sustainability with innovative formulations to offer products that cater to the growing demand for high-quality, natural beauty solutions.
