Nuuk Secures $5 Million Series A to Expand Product Line and Boost Local Manufacturing.

Date:

D2C home appliances brand Nuuk has raised $5 million (Rs 40 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures SEAI. The round also saw participation from existing investor Good Capital, along with notable angel investors, including Rohit Kapoor (Swiggy), Vivek Gambhir (Boat, Godrej Consumer), Richard Rekhy (KPMG India), Suhail Sameer (BharatPe), Taru Kapoor (Tinder India & South Asia), and Deep Bajaj (Sirona Hygiene).

The fresh capital will be used to expand Nuuk’s product portfolio across home environment solutions, vacuum cleaners, and meal preparation appliances. The brand also plans to venture into smart IoT devices and high-performance home solutions.

Founded by Gazal Kalra (co-founder of Rivigo) and Shalabh Gupta (formerly with Noise), Nuuk offers products in four key categories: fans, vacuum cleaners, garment care, and juicers & blenders.

Currently, 80% of Nuuk’s products are imported from China, while only 20% are manufactured in India. However, co-founder Shalabh Gupta revealed that the company aims to shift its manufacturing strategy, with a goal of producing over 50% of its products domestically by the end of FY26.

Nuuk products are available on its website and leading e-commerce marketplaces. The brand faces competition from established players such as Philips, Bajaj, Atomberg, and LifeLong Group.

With this funding, Nuuk is set to strengthen its market presence, enhance product innovation, and drive localization efforts in India’s home appliance sector.
