Superfood brand Nourish You has raised Rs 16 crore (approximately $1.84 million) in its Series A funding round, led by SIDBI Venture Capital.
This follows the company’s $2 million seed funding round in 2023, which saw participation from notable angel investors, including Y Janardhana Rao, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Nikhil Kamath. That same year, Nourish You expanded its presence in the plant-based sector by acquiring vegan dairy brand One Good for an undisclosed amount.
Co-founded in 2015 by Sowmya Reddy, Krishna Reddy, and Rakesh Kilaru, Nourish You specializes in superfoods such as quinoa and chia seeds, catering to the growing demand for nutritious, plant-based foods in India. The brand operates across 5,000 acres of quinoa and chia farms in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.
Beyond quinoa and chia, the company’s product range includes:
- Millets
- Edible seeds (flax, pumpkin, sunflower, and watermelon)
- Breakfast cereals (muesli and fills)
- Nourish You has also made a mark in the international market, exporting to countries such as Singapore, Nepal, Kenya, Dubai, Mongolia, and the Maldives.
Its products are available on its official website and leading e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket. In India’s competitive superfoods segment, Nourish You faces competition from brands like True Elements, Slurrp Farm, and Jiwa.
With this new round of funding, the company is expected to strengthen its distribution, expand product offerings, and accelerate growth in both domestic and international markets.
