This funding comes on the heels of the company’s previous $300,000 round from Modular Capital, Accel, and industry investors in 2021. The new capital will fuel the expansion of DesignX’s flagship Df-OS (Digital Factory Operating System) platform into key global markets, including the APAC region, Japan, and Europe, with a focus on AI-driven analytics and sustainability.

Founded in 2015 by Rajat Srivastava and Nishant Srivastava, DesignX focuses on revolutionizing manufacturing shop floors by enabling “lighthouse factories,” which employ cutting-edge technology to boost productivity while maintaining environmentally friendly practices. The Df-OS platform uses real-time data analytics to drive significant efficiencies for automotive, FMCG, and consumer electronics manufacturers, reducing waste and minimizing carbon footprints.

The vision behind DesignX is to empower factories to transform with minimal infrastructure investments. The Df-OS platform addresses traditional inefficiencies and outdated processes, reducing the time and costs associated with upgrading manufacturing systems. Rajat Srivastava likened DesignX’s impact to transformative technologies like UPI and 4G, underscoring its potential to make modernization accessible across the manufacturing sector.

Tapping into a Booming Market

The market for factory process applications is currently valued at around $34 billion annually, and DesignX sees immense growth potential as industries worldwide seek smarter, faster, and more sustainable solutions. The company’s technology has already earned the trust of industry giants, with partners including Unilever, Hero MotoCorp, and Dabur.

In the past three years alone, DesignX has digitized over 10,000 processes, connected more than 1,400 machines in real time, and onboarded over 405 customers across 500 factories. The latest funding will enable the company to solidify its foothold in key markets and continue its mission to streamline and digitize manufacturing, helping businesses stay agile and resilient in a rapidly evolving landscape.
