Ninecamp Ventures, a pioneering food and beverage firm, has secured $2 million (approximately Rs 16 crore) in its seed funding round from a consortium of prominent angels and non-institutional investors. Notable participants include Mohit Gupta and Gaurav Gupta (former Zomato co-founders), Varun and Ghazal Alagh (founders of MamaEarth), Vikram Chopra, Ruchit Agarwal, Mehul Agrawal, Gajendra Jangid (founders of Cars 24), Vir Das (comedian, actor), Divine (musician), Atul Singh (ex-chairman, Coca-Cola Asia Pacific), Dharmil Sheth (co-founder, PharmEasy), Utsav Somani (ex AngelList), Ritesh Kumar (managing director, DS Group), and Aaditya Mittal (founder, Punnya).

The fresh capital infusion will fuel Ninecamp Ventures’ ambitious plans to expand its brand portfolio, secure prime real estate locations, recruit top-tier talent, and pioneer research and development initiatives for innovative culinary concepts and products.

Founded by Chaitanya Mathur, who notably spearheaded Zomato’s live business with the creation of Zomaland, Ninecamp Ventures aims to revolutionize the culinary landscape by introducing a new era of experiential dining. Focused on delivering globally inspired standards in product quality, service excellence, design aesthetics, and ingredient sourcing, the firm is dedicated to crafting authentic brands tailored for and from the Indian market.

Earlier this year, Ninecamp Ventures unveiled its inaugural establishment, Marièta, a vibrant Latin American-inspired restaurant and agave-forward bar located at Two Horizon Center in Gurugram. This launch marks the beginning of Ninecamp’s journey to redefine gastronomic experiences across India.

With this substantial seed funding, Ninecamp Ventures is poised to redefine experiential dining in India, blending innovation with cultural authenticity to cater to the discerning tastes of modern Indian consumers.
