Edtech startup MyCaptain recently announced a successful fundraising round, securing Rs 14 crore (approximately $1.7 million) from a consortium of investors, including Inflection Point Ventures, MyNavi, Piper Serica, Super Capital, and Ankur Capital. This investment marks a significant milestone for the company as it aims to expand its innovative hybrid learning programs to new cities and enhance its course offerings.
Led by co-founders Mohammed Zeeshan, Sameer Ramesh, and Ruhan Naqash, MyCaptain has revolutionized the education sector by providing students with direct access to industry professionals. This enables them to explore diverse career opportunities and acquire practical skills through live cohort-based courses. With over 20,000 enrollments recorded across its courses, the startup is poised for exponential growth, targeting 50,000 yearly enrollments and Rs 100 crore in bookings by FY25-26.
The influx of capital will fuel MyCaptain’s ambitious expansion plans, facilitating the establishment of regional sales centres and introducing 50 new beginner courses and five placement readiness programs. With a track record of empowering over 250,000 learners across various fields, including content, design, finance, and business, MyCaptain is poised to continue its mission of nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs, writers, designers, filmmakers, and financial analysts.
