D2C haircare brand Moxie Beauty has secured Rs 17.3 crore ($2.1 million) in a new funding round led by Fireside Ventures. The round also saw participation from prominent angel investors, including Samir Singh (former Unilever CMO Personal Care, Chair Unilever Asia), Arjun Purkayastha, Suhasini Sampath (founder, Yoga Bar), Navin Parwal, and Sangeet Agrawal (founders, Mokobara).
In April of the previous year, the Gurugram-based startup raised $669,000 in its seed round from Amplify Partners, OTP Venture Partners, and others.
The fresh capital infusion will be channelled towards product innovation and research, hiring top talent, and expanding the brand’s distribution channels.
Founded by Nikita Khanna and Anmol Ahlawat, Moxie Beauty specializes in salon-quality hair care products tailored to the unique textures of Indian hair. The product lineup includes essentials like shampoo and conditioner, as well as leave-in treatments and styling products designed to combat dryness and frizz.
This new investment marks a significant milestone for Moxie Beauty as it continues to grow and cater to the diverse hair care needs of Indian consumers.
