Lifestyle brand Uni Seoul is setting its sights on bigger horizons after raising ₹5 crore (approximately $585K) in a seed funding round led by Sauce VC. The round also saw participation from Panthera Peak Ventures, along with investors Arun Venkatachalam, Sangeet Agrawal, Navin Parwal, and Yogesh Kabra.
Co-founded by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana, Uni Seoul has carved a niche for itself with its eclectic range of products — spanning home and living, personal care, gifting, and fashion accessories. Their vision is now getting a major boost, with plans to grow their offline footprint in major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
The fresh capital will help Uni Seoul in several key areas: launching new private labels, enhancing their direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform, supercharging marketing efforts, and tightening up their supply chain operations.
From its humble beginnings, Uni Seoul has steadily built a loyal customer base, operating four profitable stores across Pune, Hyderabad, Bangal
In October 2023, the brand took a significant leap by launching its online store — a move that has already contributed 27% of its revenue without any marketing spend. Their strong customer retention and an impressive average rating of 4.8across all channels point to a brand that’s resonating deeply with consumers.
As Uni Seoul gears up for its next phase of growth, the goal is clear: triple their business in the coming year, while continuing to deliver quality, design-forward products that blend international style with Indian sensibilities.
