Legends League Cricket Secures Rs 39 Crore Investment from Dubai’s Brickwork for Expansion

Legends League Cricket (LLC), a premier cricket league featuring renowned senior cricketers, has secured an investment of Rs 39 crore from Dubai-based Brickwork, valuing the league at Rs 350 crore. This infusion of funds is earmarked for the league’s ambitious expansion plans, according to an official press release.

Launched in 2021 by co-founders Raman Raheja and Vivek Khushalani, LLC has quickly gained popularity with its unique format, bringing together cricket legends under one banner. The league boasts six franchises, including India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Bhilwara Kings, Manipal Tigers, Urban Risers Hyderabad, and Southern Superstars. The league is further supported by prominent investors such as Vikram Singhania, Jayant Davar, Sanjay Gupta, and Arvind Singhania.

The upcoming 2024 season of LLC, set to run from September 11 to October 5, will feature six teams in a franchise format. Cricket icons such as Ross Taylor, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Aaron Finch, and Chris Gayle are expected to participate, promising an exhilarating series of matches. The games will take place across two locations: India and Qatar.

LLC has already made a significant impact on the global cricket scene, having reached an impressive 1.56 billion viewers worldwide last year. With an expanded lineup of 34 matches this season, the league aims to further elevate the festive spirit of cricket and captivate an even larger audience. The recent investment will play a crucial role in realizing these goals, solidifying LLC’s position as a landmark event in the cricketing world.
