Bengaluru-based edtech platform Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions has raised ₹10 crore in debt funding from Recur Club, a leading debt marketplace for startups and SMEs. The funds will be used to drive growth, expand operations, and enhance product offerings across India, according to a press release by the company.
This latest funding follows Kreedo’s earlier Series A round, in which it secured $4 million from Heritas Capital and UBS Optimus Foundation to advance its play-based learning ecosystems.
A Unique Approach to Early Childhood Education
Co-founded in 2012 by Mridula Shridhar and Manikandan Krishnan, Kreedo delivers a non-franchise solution tailored for preschools and schools in India. The company’s curriculum emphasizes learning through a “Concrete to Abstract” or “Practical to Theory” approach, integrating indoor and outdoor play-based activities to develop children’s literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills.
Kreedo targets the affordable private school segment, which caters to low-income families with annual fees under ₹30,000. With its reach extending to over 350,000 schools across India, the platform addresses a critical gap in early childhood education for underserved communities. Kreedo boasts a 35% year-on-year revenue growth rate over the past three years, reflecting its robust business model and market demand.
Support from Recur Club
Eklavya Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Recur Club, praised Kreedo’s strategic approach to scaling while maintaining equity. “It has been a pleasure working with Manikandan and witnessing Kreedo’s incredible growth journey over the past couple of years. Their intelligent approach to capital management has enabled them to hyperscale effectively,” he said.
Recur Club itself is emerging as a key player in the debt financing space, with plans to deploy ₹2,000 crore for startups and SMEs under its Recur Scale program and ₹1,000 crore for MSMEs through Recur Swift this financial year. The platform has previously backed notable startups like Ustraa, Rage Coffee, and Keka HR.
Edtech Competition and Market Outlook
Operating in a competitive space, Kreedo faces indirect or direct competition from players such as Kinderly, Seed Schools, Sudiksha Knowledge Solutions, Blue Blocks, and Hello Kids. Despite the crowded market, Kreedo’s focus on affordable education and play-based learning gives it a unique edge.
As the demand for accessible early childhood education grows, Kreedo is well-positioned to impact India’s education ecosystem positively while expanding its market footprint.
