Kites Senior Care Secures Rs 45 Crore in Series A Funding to Expand Agetech Services.

Date:

In a significant development for the burgeoning age tech sector, Kites Senior Care has successfully raised Rs 45 crore ($5.4 million) in its Series A funding round. The funding was led by Ranjan Pai, chairman of Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG), via his family office. This investment marks a crucial milestone for Kites Senior Care as it aims to bolster its presence in key cities across Southern India and enhance its suite of geriatric services.

Founded in 2016 by Rajagopal and Reema, Kites Senior Care specializes in providing a comprehensive range of services tailored to the needs of senior citizens. These services encompass post-operative and post-hospitalization rehabilitative care, palliative care, dementia care, and respite care. Importantly, these services are offered within care facilities and in the comfort of seniors’ residences, ensuring flexibility and personalized attention.

With fresh capital infusion, Kites Senior Care is poised to expand its footprint in cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai while venturing into three additional cities in Southern India. This expansion strategy underscores the company’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality senior care services in the region.

The funding will also enable Kites Senior Care to scale its operations significantly. Currently boasting a team of 400 dedicated care professionals, the company anticipates rapid growth, with plans to increase its workforce to over 1,500. Moreover, Kites Senior Care aims to augment its bed capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 persons within the next six quarters, substantially increasing its current capacity of 340 beds.

Innovation lies at the heart of Kites Senior Care’s approach, as evidenced by its investment in technology. The company is set to complete the pilot expansion of its tech platform, ‘seniorshield,’ which leverages wearable technology developed in collaboration with Titan Fastrack. This cutting-edge platform enhances the safety and well-being of seniors, providing peace of mind to residents and their families.

Kites Senior Care operates in a vibrant ecosystem alongside other notable players such as Samarth Life, Age Care Labs, Goodfellows, KareWise, SeniorWorld, GetSetUp, 60Plus India, ElderAid Wellness, and GenWise. Together, these organizations are driving innovation and redefining the landscape of senior care by integrating technology, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of older adults.

As the ageing population grows, the demand for specialized senior care services is expected to soar. With its recent funding injection and ambitious expansion plans, Kites Senior Care is well-positioned to deliver exceptional care and support to seniors across India.
