Indusbridge Ventures (IBV) and FedTech Join Forces to Foster Innovation and Growth in Indian Dual-Use Technology Startups
Indusbridge Ventures (IBV), a prominent defence technology-focused firm, has partnered with the US-based deep-tech venture builder FedTech to launch the groundbreaking ‘I2A Launchpad program. Officially named the India to America (I2A) program, this initiative is designed to elevate Indian startups operating in dual-use technologies, bridging the gap between Indian innovation and the US market.
The I2A Launchpad aims to connect Indian startups with the U.S. dual-use technology ecosystem, fostering cross-border collaboration and accelerating commercialization in critical and emerging technologies. This new venture seeks to provide a structured go-to-market pathway for Indian startups, facilitating access to US government and commercial customers, strategic investors, and defence companies.
Through the I2A Launchpad, participating startups will gain invaluable resources, including mentorship, strategic workshops, and networking opportunities. The program will open doors to various sectors, including the Department of Defense (DoD), space agencies, commercial aerospace, and other government technology domains.
The inaugural cohort of 10-15 startups is scheduled to commence in October 2024. With India’s defence budget standing at $75 billion and defence exports projected to reach $5 billion, this program will offer participants expert guidance on navigating the complexities of the DoD ecosystem, ensuring US regulatory compliance, developing market entry strategies, refining business models, and connecting with key players in the US technology sectors.
The I2A Launchpad promises to be a game-changer for Indian startups, providing the necessary tools and connections to scale their operations internationally and tap into lucrative US markets.
