Holiday Tribe Secures Rs 5.4 Cr in Seed Funding from Powerhouse Ventures, GSF, and Key Investors

Date:

Travel-tech startup Holiday Tribe has raised Rs 5.4 crore in a seed funding round led by Powerhouse Ventures and GSF, with notable participation from Dinesh Agarwal and Dinesh Gulati of IndiaMART, Murugavel Janakiraman of BharatMatrimony.com, and actor Gaurav Kapur. The newly acquired capital will be used to bolster the company’s tech infrastructure, expand its supply network, and drive brand-building efforts.

Founded in 2023 by former MakeMyTrip executives Anshu Sharma and Chirag Goyal, the Gurugram-based Holiday Tribe specializes in offering customizable holiday experiences for various travel groups—families, couples, honeymooners, adventure enthusiasts, and explorers of lesser-known destinations. The platform claims an extensive supply network of over 100,000 hotels globally and partnerships with 10 international tourism boards, including destinations like Mauritius, Dubai, Switzerland, Qatar, and Singapore.

The company has curated packages for more than 30 destinations and allows customers to tailor their travel experiences. This move comes at a time when India’s outbound tourism market is forecasted to reach $18.81 billion by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 11.4% over the following decade, according to a FICCI-Nangia report. Similarly, the country’s online travel market is set to grow at a CAGR of 10.5%, from $17.24 billion in 2024 to $28.40 billion by 2029.

With this capital infusion, Holiday Tribe aims to capture a share of India’s burgeoning travel market while providing travelers with highly personalized holiday solutions.
