GoRally Secures $750K Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Pickleball & Padel Facilities

Date:

Pickleball chain GoRally has successfully raised Rs 6.6 crore ($750,000) in a pre-seed funding round led by Sujeet Kumar. Other prominent investors include Mohit Kumar & Vatsal Singhal, Viren Singhvi, Kartik Kapoor, Abhishek Goyal, Deepak Singh, Arjun Vaidya, Bharat Founders Fund, an IITD syndicate, and several US investors.

The fresh capital will be utilized to scale operations, targeting eight centers with 40 pickleball and two padel courts by April 2025. Among the upcoming expansions is the GoRally Whitefield indoor pickle-padel arena, a sprawling 40,000 sq. ft. facility.

Founded in 2023 by Sam Sancheti and Abhinav Shankar, GoRally currently operates four centers in Bengaluru with 15 courts, including a flagship 15,000 sq. ft. indoor facility near Indiranagar. The startup has built a thriving 4,000-member WhatsApp community, bringing together pickleball and padel enthusiasts.

In addition to infrastructure expansion, GoRally is set to launch its tech platform this month, streamlining the community experience and enhancing engagement with features like its popular ‘Open-play’ game format. The company also plans to strengthen its coaching services, currently led by Karnataka’s top-ranked players, and grow its equipment retail business. GoRally already distributes brands like Joola, reinforcing its position as a full-stack player in the growing recreational sports sector.

Looking beyond Bengaluru, GoRally aims to expand into major cities like Delhi and Chennai later this year through strategic partnerships, tapping into the increasing demand for pickleball and padel across India.
