Funstop Games, a prominent casual gaming studio, has raised $5 million in its Series A funding round, co-led by 360 ONE Asset and InfoEdge Ventures. The round also saw InfoEdge Ventures increasing its stake from a previous investment, underscoring strong confidence in the company’s growth potential.
The newly secured funds will enable Funstop Games to accelerate its game development, build advertising technology capabilities, and expand its growing portfolio of mobile games. The company plans to enhance its presence in the casual gaming sector while continuing to target both domestic and international markets with its diverse offerings.
Founded in 2020 by Prashanth Vijay and Tamesh Sharma, Funstop Games has made significant strides in the mobile gaming industry, developing and publishing a range of titles that allow in-app purchases, enabling users to buy virtual goods and game-related content. The Delhi-based studio has been particularly successful in tapping into the spiritual gaming niche, with its Shri Ram Mandir Game reaching an impressive 25 million downloads. The game has helped establish a new category in the gaming industry, known as “spiritual gaming.”
To date, Funstop Games has earned $4 million in revenue, with over 100 million global downloads across its portfolio of more than 30 games. Popular titles such as Airport Rush and Perfect Time have contributed significantly to this milestone, collectively accounting for more than 75 million downloads.
Looking ahead, Funstop Games is focusing on rapid expansion, particularly in global markets, and is poised to release new titles within the spiritual gaming segment, further solidifying its position in the rapidly growing casual gaming landscape. The company’s efforts are set to compete with other notable startups in India’s casual gaming space, including Genieee, Teamsid Gaming, Tuttifrutti Interactive, Wala Interactive, Zuraverse, and HighXP.
With this fresh capital infusion, Funstop Games is well-positioned to build on its successes and expand its impact in the world of casual gaming.
