Bengaluru-based energy-tech startup EMO Energy has raised $6.2 million in its Series A funding round, led by Subhkam Ventures, with additional participation from existing investor Transition VC. This follows a previous funding round where the company raised $1.43 million from Sat Industries and other investors.
The fresh capital will be utilized to scale its two—and three-wheeler energy solutions to over 1 lakh vehicles within the next two years. According to the company’s press release, EMO Energy also plans to enhance its research and development (R&D) capabilities and expand its team to meet growing operational demands.
Pioneering Energy Solutions
Co-founded in 2022 by Sheetanshu Tyagi and Rahul Patel, EMO Energy is at the forefront of energy-tech innovation, focusing on enabling mass electric vehicle (EV) adoption and reducing carbon footprints in urban energy. At the heart of its offerings is its proprietary technology stack, ZEN, which delivers ultra-fast 20-minute charging, fireproof designs, and over 3,000 charging cycles. These features set new standards for safety, efficiency, and performance in the EV industry.
The company’s advanced battery systems cater to electric two- and three-wheelers, light commercial vehicles, and large-scale energy storage solutions, with applications spanning mobility, commercial enterprises, and industrial energy storage.
Empowering the Urban Energy Landscape
EMO Energy’s ZEN platform integrates AI-driven battery management, active thermal management, and machine learning algorithms to extend battery life. These technologies position the startup to address a multi-billion-dollar market, encompassing electric two-wheelers, light commercial vehicles, and green industrial energy systems.
Over the past year, EMO Energy has established high-volume partnerships with major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This has enabled the company to scale its capabilities from 2 kWh to 2,000 kWh, creating a robust ecosystem for urban energy solutions. Its vision includes EMO-enabled delivery vehicles for dark stores and commercial establishments, supported by fast chargers and energy storage systems managed through integrated energy management software.
Scaling Impact
With over 2,000 battery packs already deployed in the mobility sector, EMO Energy is now conducting production-ready pilots for energy storage systems (ESS). These solutions aim to provide peak shaving, backup power, and a sustainable alternative to diesel generators in industrial and commercial settings.
The startup’s client portfolio includes major names such as Kinetic Green, BigBasket, Domino’s, and Blinkit, showcasing its growing influence in energy tech.
EMO Energy’s funding milestone underscores its commitment to decarbonizing urban energy and driving the adoption of efficient, sustainable, and scalable EV energy solutions.
