The funding round also saw participation from Warmup Ventures, Lead Angels, Dholakia Ventures, India Accelerator, and individual investors including Arjun Vaidya, Kunal Khattar, Nikunj Jain, and Piyush Jain.
According to a statement from Nitro Commerce, the raised funds will be utilized to develop core technologies that enhance the sourcing and enrichment processes for e-commerce and D2C brands.
Co-founded in 2023 by Umair Mohammed, Atyab Mohammed, Shamail Tayyab, and Pratik Anand, Nitro Commerce offers a comprehensive revenue-as-a-service platform for the e-commerce and D2C sectors. The platform aims to support the industry by providing technologies that facilitate growth and revenue enhancement at both the top and middle stages of the sales funnel.
The co-founders have a successful track record, having previously launched Wigzo, which was acquired by Shiprocket in 2021.
Nitro Commerce is focused on reaching profitability by 2025 through the democratization of its technology, making it accessible and easy for merchants to deploy. The company offers its solutions as an outcome-as-a-service.
The startup claims to have onboarded more than 100 D2C brands in the past six months and aims to increase this number to over 1,000 by the end of the year. Based in Gurugram, Nitro Commerce plans to introduce an innovative approach that integrates e-commerce and digital advertising with bespoke and intelligent data-driven offerings. It competes with other players in the market such as Klaviyo, Elastic Path Software, Bango, Yotpo, Rokt, and others.
