byteXL, a prominent player in the edtech sector focusing on engineering education, has successfully closed a $5.9 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Kalaari Capital, with significant participation from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.

Founded by Karun Tadepalli, byteXL has carved out a niche by collaborating closely with colleges and industry partners. The platform integrates cutting-edge curriculum, content, and practical learning experiences, equipping students with crucial skills and enhancing their employability prospects.

This latest funding infusion will fuel byteXL’s ambitious growth plans, primarily aimed at expanding its team, enhancing product development efforts, and introducing new digital tools and technologies. Additionally, the funds will support byteXL’s initiative to broaden its outreach to more colleges and universities nationwide.

Since its inception, byteXL has established partnerships with over 26 prestigious educational institutions across India. The platform has successfully trained a substantial number of students, exceeding 100,000, in various high-demand software technologies such as cybersecurity, full stack development, cloud computing, and more.

A recent milestone for byteXL includes a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to introduce a specialized B.Tech program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This initiative underscores byteXL’s commitment to aligning educational offerings with current industry requirements, ensuring that students are well-prepared for dynamic career opportunities in technology.

With this latest funding round, byteXL is poised to further elevate its impact on engineering education in India, driving innovation and excellence in the edtech landscape.
