In a recent development, Bengaluru-based startup BonV Aero has successfully raised Rs 6 crore in funding, spearheaded by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The company plans to allocate the funds towards client demonstrations, team expansion, and internal research and development efforts to enhance its product offerings. BonV Aero focuses on providing aerial vehicles designed for both goods and passenger transportation, with a specialization in creating cutting-edge aerial solutions for challenging terrains such as the Himalayas.
Satyabrata Satapathy, the founder of BonV Aero, expressed that the funds will be crucial in furthering their mission. The company had previously secured an undisclosed amount in a seed round from Headstart Investor Circle in December 2022.
BonV Aero has gained recognition for introducing India’s first logistic aerial vehicle, uniquely capable of transporting 50 kilograms over a distance of 10 kilometres at an altitude of 10,000 feet in hilly regions, with confirmed commercial orders. The startup’s focus areas include catering to the specific needs of Indian defence logistics, disaster relief, emergency medical services, supply chain logistics, and rapid commerce deliveries.
One of the distinguishing features of BonV Aero is its in-house propulsion system, which ensures efficient flights even in extreme weather conditions and at high altitudes, establishing the company as a reliable choice for operations in challenging environments.
BonV Aero is actively conducting product trials with the Indian Army, marking the initial phase of operational scale. The startup aims to advance its technology further, making strides in aerial logistics and solidifying its position as a key player in the drone industry.
