BiteSpeed, an AI-driven customer operating system (OS) for e-commerce brands, has raised $3.5 million in its pre-Series A round, led by Peak XV’s Surge, a startup accelerator. This funding round included participation from Whiteboard Capital, Gaurav Munjal (CEO of Unacademy), Aakash Anand (CEO of Bella Vita), Dhruv Vohra (APAC Head at META), and several other notable investors. With this latest funding round, BiteSpeed’s total capital raised now stands at $5.6 million.

Funding and Growth Goals

The newly raised funds will support BiteSpeed’s aggressive expansion, particularly in key growth regions such as North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. To fuel its expansion efforts, BiteSpeed plans to significantly increase its workforce, focusing on hiring across marketing, sales, and technical roles. The funds will also enable the company to enhance its research and development, with a particular focus on integrating generative AI capabilities into its platform.

BiteSpeed’s tools allow brands to automate support, deploy personalized marketing, and offer chatbots to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

According to the company, its technology can boost a brand’s revenue by over 25% by making it easier for brands to connect with customers across multiple touchpoints. To date, BiteSpeed has served over 2,500 Shopify brands in more than 50 countries, boasting a customer base that spans India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. Some of its prominent clients include Skybags, Ugaoo, and Zouk.

Previous Investments and Investor Support

This funding round builds on BiteSpeed’s previous successes, with two prior rounds totaling $2.1 million led by Peak XV’s Surge and Whiteboard Capital. Additionally, BiteSpeed has attracted a network of over 30 angel investors, including industry figures such as Kunal Shah (Founder, CRED), Ritesh Malik (Founder, Innov8), and Gaurav Sharma (Founder, SaaSLabs), showcasing strong investor confidence in the company’s potential.

As BiteSpeed gears up for global expansion, its latest funding round marks a key milestone in its mission to revolutionize customer engagement for e-commerce brands. With a focus on generative AI, BiteSpeed aims to further enrich its platform, providing brands with advanced tools to build stronger customer relationships and drive growth in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.
