Latambarcem Brewers (LB Brewers), an emerging name in the natural functional beverage sector, has successfully raised $1.5 million (Rs 12.5 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was co-led by SPV, Dhruv Agarwala, and Sheba Venture Holdings, among others.
The newly acquired funds are set to accelerate LB Brewers’ growth trajectory and reinforce its position as a pioneer in the functional beverage market. The company’s co-founders, brothers Aditya Ishan Varshnei and Anish Varshnei, are leveraging these funds to enhance their holistic approach encompassing product development, manufacturing, supply chain management, and brand building.
Since its inception in 2017, LB Brewers has been making waves with its dual-brand strategy. Its flagship brands include Maka Di, which offers an array of distinctive craft beers, and Borecha, known for its health-oriented beverages, notably its probiotic kombucha. The company’s product lineup also includes Belgian Triple, Super Maka, and Bavarian Keller.
The company has notably partnered with Akasa Air and Air India Express, becoming the first to offer kombucha and sparkling iced tea on Indian airlines. This achievement highlights LB Brewers’ innovative approach to integrating functional beverages into mainstream offerings.
With a footprint extending to the US, Canada, UAE, and other international markets, LB Brewers is poised for further expansion. The company aims to penetrate 11 European countries within the year and projects an annual revenue of Rs 300 crore in the next three years.
