Babynama, a digital pediatric care platform, has successfully raised $700,000 in its seed funding round, which was led by Good Capital. The round also saw participation from Amplify and prominent angel investors, including Abhishek Gupta (Founder of Fashinza), Ankit Gupta (Founder of Bicycle Health), Akshay Saxena (Founder of Avanti), Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl (Ex-COO of BharatPe), and other notable figures from the IIT Bombay network.
The funding will be allocated to bolstering Babynama’s technology infrastructure, scaling its team of expert paediatricians, and supporting its marketing initiatives. The platform, which was founded in June 2022 by Dr. Sumitra Meena and Ashish Meena, aims to revolutionize pediatric healthcare by offering parents easy access to expert advice through a chat-first platform.
Babynama has already made significant strides in the digital health space, resolving over 1.5 million queries with an impressive average response time of under two minutes. The platform focuses on providing parents with timely, reliable, and personalized care. Its offerings include 24/7 pediatric support, a dedicated team of doctors, parent education, and community engagement—all powered by cutting-edge technology.
Since its launch, Babynama has supported nearly 2 lakh parents in accessing crucial care and identifying early signs of critical conditions such as respiratory distress, epilepsy, autism, and ADHD. It has also surpassed 10,000 paying customers, offering a variety of services aimed at supporting mothers and newborns.
Looking to the future, Babynama plans to expand its services with third-trimester care programs, developmental initiatives to support child growth, and interactive workshops designed to empower parents with knowledge and tools to navigate their children’s health journey. This funding will undoubtedly propel Babynama’s mission to make expert pediatric care accessible to parents across India.
