Visa processing platform Atlys has acquired the UK subsidiary of visa service company Artionis in an all-cash deal, marking a strategic expansion into the European market.
With this acquisition, Artionis UK—which specializes in handling UK-to-Russia visas—will enhance Atlys’ technological capabilities and streamline its visa processing services across Europe. The move aligns with Atlys’ broader goal of reducing paperwork and offering faster visa approvals for travelers in the UK, with plans to extend its reach to Germany and France in the near future.
Artionis, a global outsourcing partner for government visa services, operates in 25 countries with 400 employees across 65 offices. Atlys has taken over its UK branch, which includes offices in London, Edinburgh, and Manchester.
Founded four years ago, Atlys is focused on simplifying visa applications through technology-driven solutions. The company claims its platform can significantly lower visa rejection rates while cutting down processing times to as fast as 55 seconds. Currently, Atlys facilitates visa applications for over 150 destinations, with an average application process time ranging between 4 to 10 minutes.
Atlys has steadily expanded its global footprint in key markets such as the US, UAE, and the UK. The company has also strengthened its leadership team across product, engineering, and marketing functions to drive further innovation.
This acquisition follows Atlys’ $20 million Series B funding round in September 2024, co-led by Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital, positioning the company for further growth in the international visa services space.
