Weskill, an AI-driven upskilling platform, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed funding round at a valuation of Rs 40 crore from high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and strategic investors. The fresh capital will be utilized to accelerate expansion and enhance its AI-powered learning ecosystem, the company stated in a press release.
Founded in November 2023 by Prashant Prakash Dubey, Weskill seeks to bridge the widening gap between traditional college education and industry demands. By leveraging artificial intelligence, the platform provides career counseling and personalized training modules, ensuring that students and professionals acquire in-demand skills aligned with real-world job requirements.
To enhance experiential learning, Weskill has partnered with premier institutions such as EICT, IIT Guwahati, and several multinational corporations (MNCs). These collaborations allow the platform to deliver industry-focused training to undergraduate students and early-career professionals, equipping them with the expertise required to excel in the corporate world.
Beyond upskilling, Weskill has developed an AI-powered career counseling and mock interview platform, which has already helped over 170,000 students refine their career trajectories. The company remains committed to transforming the education and employment landscape by making skill development more effective, accessible, and job-oriented.
Over the next two years, Weskill aims to impact over 600,000 students across India by integrating AI-driven learning methodologies and forging strategic industry collaborations. The platform competes with established players such as Coursera, Scaler, and Simplilearn in the rapidly growing upskilling market.
