Pune-based deeptech company Aeron Systems has raised Rs 45 crore, or approximately $4.7 million, in a Pre-Series B funding round jointly led by Riverwalk Holdings and MGF-Kavachh, also known as MountTech Growth Fund.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capacity, accelerate research and development, develop new products and meet rising customer demand. Aeron will also invest in strengthening its presence across international markets.
Founded by Ashvani Shukla and Abhijeet Bokil, Aeron Systems develops navigation, weather sensing and monitoring technologies for aerospace, defence and industrial applications.
The company has built a portfolio of products covering several critical technology areas. These include inertial navigation systems, air data computers, weather sensing solutions, flight test instrumentation, avionics, and positioning, navigation and timing technologies.
Aeron Builds Technology for Critical Platforms
Aeron Systems’ products are used across a wide range of platforms, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned platforms, missiles, armoured vehicles and naval platforms.
Its technologies are designed for applications where reliable navigation, positioning, sensing and monitoring are important for the performance of aerospace and defence systems.
Beyond these sectors, Aeron is also expanding into renewable energy applications. The company is developing solutions for utility-scale solar projects by combining hardware and software capabilities.
Focus on Manufacturing and Product Development
The latest funding will allow Aeron to increase its manufacturing capacity while continuing to invest in R&D and new product development.
The company also plans to use the capital to respond to customer demand and strengthen its operations in international markets.
As part of its next phase of growth, Aeron intends to continue expanding its product portfolio while building a larger international customer base.
The funding comes as Indian deeptech companies working across aerospace, defence and advanced industrial technologies continue to develop indigenous products for critical applications.
With its focus spanning navigation, avionics, weather sensing, monitoring and positioning technologies, Aeron Systems is looking to further scale its presence across aerospace, defence, industrial and renewable energy markets.
