Expert Dojo, a leading Southern California-based early-stage venture capital and growth accelerator firm, has announced an initial investment of $15 million in Indian startups, marking the first step of its newly launched $100 million third global fund. This significant commitment was made public during the Expert Dojo Investors Conclave 2025, which took place in Bangalore, underscoring the firm’s dedication to supporting early-stage founders in India.
As part of its ongoing strategy to foster innovation and drive global growth, Expert Dojo will deploy the $15 million in the first year, aiming to fund 20 to 25 startups across various sectors, including fintech, B2B, SaaS, and AI. While the fund maintains a sector-agnostic approach, its focus will be on startups with global scalability potential. Founders selected for investment can expect funding in the range of $50,000 to $1 million, in addition to access to Expert Dojo’s extensive international mentorship and go-to-market networks.
Looking ahead, Expert Dojo plans to invest a further $30 million in Indian startups over the next 2 to 3 years, deepening its engagement with India’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
Since entering the Indian market, Expert Dojo has already invested in over 30 local startups through its global fund. Notable companies in its India portfolio include Bhive, Cloudworx, Consuma, Mugafi, The Rollnumber, Fudr, and Doqfy, among others. These investments align with the firm’s broader global strategy, which has also seen it support over 300 startups in the United States.
Founded in 2018, Expert Dojo has built a reputation for backing pre-seed and seed-stage tech companies with high growth potential. The firm is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with 41% of its investments directed toward female-founded companies—significantly surpassing the average of other leading US accelerators. This commitment to diversity reflects Expert Dojo’s mission to provide support and resources to entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to scale their businesses on a global stage.
With its latest investment in India, Expert Dojo aims to help foster the next generation of innovators and disruptors, making a lasting impact on both the Indian and global startup ecosystems.
