SportsSkill Secures Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Globally and Revolutionize Athlete Training

Sports technology startup SportsSkill has secured an undisclosed amount of investment in a pre-seed funding round, led by Waimea Bay Investments. The fresh capital will fuel the startup’s expansion into international markets and help introduce its innovative sports training solutions to athletes worldwide.

In a press release, SportsSkill revealed its plans to develop a state-of-the-art, high-performance gamified training center, which is the first of its kind. This unique facility combines advanced training techniques with gamification, providing athletes with an immersive experience that enhances fitness, refines technique, and nurtures competitive spirit—all while ensuring the process is fun and engaging.

Based in Pune, the company is also gearing up to launch its AI-powered sports training app. This cutting-edge platform will offer athletes personalized coaching and data-driven insights for high-performance training. SportsSkill’s vision is to make top-tier training accessible to athletes at all levels, moving beyond its current footprint in India. The app is designed to push athletes’ limits while ensuring peak efficiency and measurable results.

The new training center, combined with the app’s capabilities, marks a significant leap forward in providing hands-on, real-world training, complementing the company’s digital ecosystem. In addition to these physical and digital advancements, SportsSkill is increasing its partnerships with schools across India, bringing advanced sports training tools into educational institutions. This initiative aims to provide young athletes with access to cutting-edge technology from an early age, helping shape the future of sports in India by empowering the next generation.

Looking ahead, SportsSkill plans to expand its app’s offerings to include more sports, broadening its appeal to a wider range of athletes. In the second half of 2025, the startup will also transition to a B2B2C model, focusing on closer collaborations with sports organizations, educational institutions, and businesses. This shift will facilitate the creation of tailored training solutions and open the door to new synergies, further cementing SportsSkill’s position as a game-changer in the sports tech industry.
