Bengaluru-based aerospace startup Nabhdrishti Aerospace has raised $3 million (approximately Rs 25 crore) in a funding round led by Accel, with participation from IIMA Ventures and its existing investors. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development and testing of its engine prototypes, as well as to expand its team, the company announced in a press release.
Co-founded in 2023 by Chouhan, Arjun Srivatsa, and Antanu Sadhu, Nabhdrishti Aerospace is focused on developing small gas turbines catering to hybrid urban air mobility, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and decentralized power generation. The company claims its engine technology serves a dual purpose—both propulsion and power—making it suitable for applications ranging from hospitals and heavy vehicles to light aircraft, helicopters, and hybrid-electric flights.
Nabhdrishti Aerospace is dedicated to reducing India’s dependence on imported aerospace technology by creating indigenous propulsion solutions. The company is developing cutting-edge engines that can run on sustainable fuels, including green hydrogen, to power UAVs and next-generation air mobility platforms. By integrating advanced materials and energy-efficient designs, Nabhdrishti aims to set new benchmarks in sustainable aviation.
With this funding, Nabhdrishti Aerospace plans to generate early revenue while significantly expanding its workforce. The company expects to onboard new talent in engineering, production, and customer support by the end of the year. Over the next few years, it intends to scale its operations to support a growing product portfolio and customer base.
Nabhdrishti Aerospace joins a growing list of Indian startups working on cutting-edge aerospace technology. Other notable players in this space include Garuda Aerospace, Bellatrix Aerospace, and Agnikul, all of which are contributing to India’s expanding presence in the global aerospace sector.
As India strengthens its footprint in sustainable aviation and advanced propulsion systems, startups like Nabhdrishti Aerospace are poised to play a crucial role in shaping the future of air mobility and aerospace innovation.
