Shoppin Secures $1M from InfoEdge Ventures to Enhance AI-Powered Fashion Discovery

Date:

Fashion search engine startup Shoppin has raised $1 million in a funding round led by InfoEdge Ventures. The company plans to use the funds for hiring top AI talent, advancing its proprietary technology, and driving growth, according to a press release.

Founded by Shlok Bhartiya, Shoppin is designed to help users discover apparel through AI-driven prompts, vibes, product descriptions, and images. The platform aims to bridge the gap between inspiration discovery on social media and e-commerce product searches on marketplaces and D2C brand websites.

With this investment, Shoppin plans to build a team of AI engineers to develop and scale advanced AI models, including custom-built small language models (SLMs) tailored for fashion.

The startup currently has over 35,000 Instagram followers and a waitlist of more than 20,000 users, with plans to launch its beta search engine in February.

This investment follows InfoEdge’s recent funding in ZingBus and Culture Circle, as it continues to support emerging startups in the consumer-tech space.
